International Mother Language Day, officially established by UNESCO, is celebrated annually on February 21 to mark cultural diversity.
The day before, the students of the International Preparatory Department of KNRTU-KAI organized a concert at Building No. 1 of the university. They performed poems and songs in Tatar, Arabic, Kazakh, Korean, and Persian languages. The students from Nepal, Nigeria, China, and Turkmenistan also took part in the event showcasing their talents.
It should be noted that the representatives of various nationalities from around the world are enrolled at the International Preparatory Department at KNRTU-KAI. So for example, besides artistic performances, students from Venezuela, Egypt, and Indonesia prepared presentations about their hometowns, countries, sights, and nationalities. Many of them appeared in national costumes of their countries. During the festival, the staff of the International Preparatory Department read a poem in Russian language as well.
